Your Journey to getting your Driving License
The process of getting a provisional license is pretty easy. As long as you can read the number plate of a car parked 20 metres away and are aged 15 years and 9 months or above, you can apply for a provisional license. You can learn to drive a car and take your test at 17.
The following are 4 easy steps to getting that much-wanted license:
Step 1: Get your provisional license
Cost: £34; Time: 1 week
Apply online on the DVSA website: Remember that you will need to provide originals for:
- an identity document or a valid UK biometric passport. The identity document can be a current and valid foreign passport, Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) issued in the UK, a travel document or EU national identity card
- addresses where you’ve lived over the last 3 years
- your National Insurance number if you know it
You’ll get a confirmation email from DVLA after you’ve applied. Your licence should arrive within one week if you apply online. It may take longer if DVLA needs to make additional checks.
Step 2: Take Driving Lessons
Cost: As advised on the pricing page; Time: from 1 week to 3 months (depending upon how quickly you can acquire this skill)
We offer a wide variety of courses to new drivers. Although all our courses are a value for money and are very popular, we find the following course as most in-demand: driving lesson for beginners (Fresher to Driving Licence - End to End) - for new drivers; intensive driving course (Intermediate 15) - for drivers who have some exposure to driving, and international drivers license - to help people who hold a full license for a foreign country and now need a UK license. We encourage you to visit the pricing page to find a course that's just right for you. Do not hesitate to call us on +44 203 129 7741 if you are confused or would like more information.
Step 3: Prepare for the Theory test and pass it
